We had a great time in Brazil. We appreciate your prayers. Many came to Jesus. It is a joy to share Jesus here and abroad. Let’s keep telling others about Him.

It is a privilege to welcome Kristen Payne and Paige Price into the kingdom of God. God has done a wonderful work in our youth and children’s camps. I want to thank all of our sponsors for their hard work and love for the kids.

This Sunday Mark and Donna Sutton will be our special guests for the morning worship. They will be going to Haiti to help the churches minister to the people and share the Gospel. They will be volunteers working with a partnership with Florida Baptists. We will receive a love offering to help the Suttons with this ministry.

On August 15^th we will be having Lee Thomas as our guest speaker for Sunday School, morning and evening worship. This will be a one day prayer revival. Lee speaks all across the country. He is being used of God in a wonderful way. Make plans to be blessed and be a blessing.

I can’t wait to see what God will do this Sunday. It is great to be the pastor of God’s people.

STUDENT CHOIR has resumed its regular meeting time at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. All who will be in grade 7 through college age next school year are encouraged to take part.

ADULT CHOIR new members are always welcome. If you enjoy singing, and can commit to being in rehearsals on Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m., you are qualified. Just start coming to rehearsal and then sing on Sunday when you are ready.

WORSHIP “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)

Last week Stan, Abbie and I were at Glorieta where it was much cooler and the air was much thinner.  We had a tremendous time enjoying our conferences as well as the worship.  I knew God would be there and yet was so amazed when He showed up to spend time with us.  I truly love to go there and study, worship and spend some quiet time listening to Him.  I really appreciate the time to get away like that and want to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing us to do that.  I hope to be able to go back over the material that I heard and see what we as a church might use to grow our church spiritually as well as numerically.  Please pray that God will continue to speak as He did this past week.

It is so neat to see that God is already at work. In the past month or so, I have been privileged to be a part of seeing that God is already at work where I am going.  I mean that I have been thinking and praying about something and when I talk to an individual, I find that God has already been working in that person’s life and they are ready to do what HE wants.  Isn’t that cool?   I can’t wait to see what else He wants me to do and where He wants me to go.  J

In August instead of 1 large Sunday School Meeting we will be having some smaller group meetings.  This first Sunday, August 1 we will be meeting with the Directors of the Adult Sunday School Departments.  If you are a present Director or will be assuming the responsibility in September, please plan on coming to the Office Conference Room next Sunday at 8:30 a.m.   Donuts will be provided.

Whew!  I am still recovering from such a great time at CentriKid camp.  It was a great time for our kids.  I rejoice with the rest of you in regards to Paige Price and Krysten Payne coming to know the Lord!  It was so great to see them at camp accept Christ.  Let’s pray for them and their commitments!

School is only a mere three and half weeks away.  Are you ready to go into what I believe is the greatest mission field in this country?  Get ready!  God wants to use you.

We are continuing our weekly activities with Tuesday Hang Times, Bible Study, and Wednesday Nights.  Come and be a part of these events.  Also be looking forward to Youth MPACT at the end of August.  It’s going to be a great time!
