50th Anniversary Celebration

Guests and Features 

The guest preacher for the day will be Mickey Hawkins of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. He was a member of Highland as a teenager and has served as pastor of several churches. Featured musicians will be former members Shellia Dean and Una George and former Minister of Music Steve Lawson. The Adult Choir will sing for both services, along with a trio and piano music by Kim Neese. A video highlighting the church’s history will be presented during the morning worship service. Video testimonies from individuals representing all ages will be shown as part of the evening service. 

Events 

Both worship services have been planned as a celebration of what God has done in the past and what He is continuing to do in the present. Bro. Mickey Hawkins will preach for both services. The morning service will be at 10:30 with the evening service beginning at 5:00 p.m. The evening service will feature an extended music time featuring a variety of musicians. A catered barbecue meal will follow the evening service.
