Tent Meeting - April 30-May 5, 2006
Highland Baptist 
Church was formed as a church in May of 1956 following a 3-week series of tent meetings. Remembering the churchs history, these present meetings were planned in preparation for the Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, May 7.
Dr. Mike Holloway, pastor of Cook Baptist Church in Ruston, LA will be the guest preacher for the week. He moved to Cook from Georgia, and had previously served as pastor of Highland Park Baptist Church in Monroe.
Bro. Ray Mears will lead the congregational singing for the week and provide special music for Sunday morning. He is a member of Highland and a retired pastor from our area.
Special music will be provided on Monday through Wednesday by the Blessed Assurance quartet. The New Liberty Boys quartet will sing on Thursday and Friday.
A children's musical, Who Is Like the Lord?, will be presented on Sunday evening in the auditorium.
Everyone is invited to this extraordinary event filled will Bible preaching and old-time gospel music. Look for the big tent near the intersection Arkansas and Kiroli, just in front of our west parking lot.| < Prev | Next > |
