“Rejoice ever more. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 AKJV)
Here is a good way to live life. Think on these things and have a good day.
Monday, November 28, 2011
“Quench not the Spirit.” (1 Thessalonians 5:19 AKJV)
When God speaks listen and obey. It is a privilege when He speaks to us.
Tuesday, November 29, 2011
“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that you should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor;” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 AKJV)
God calls people to pure and holy living. Oh how we need this in our world today.
Wednesday, November 30, 2011
“Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 AKJV)
Trusting God can make our lives fruitful and strong. Put your trust in the Lord.
Thursday, December 1, 2011
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9 AKJV)
There is no end to rationalizing sin in our lives. We are wicked by nature and we need the Lord to set us straight.
Friday, December 2, 2011
“For my eyes are on all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from my eyes.” (Jeremiah 16:17 AKJV)
We can’t hide from God. He knows. What is He seeing in us? Think it over.
Saturday, December 3, 2011
“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:18-20 AKJV)
Our world would be in much better shape if we followed God’s instructions for family.
Sunday, December 4, 2011
“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Colossians 3:2 AKJV)
Eternal perspective gives life a fuller and purposeful meaning to this life. Think it over.
Monday, December 5, 2011
“Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.” (Jeremiah 33:3 AKJV)
This is a wonderful promise. Take advantage of it.
Tuesday, December 6, 2011
“Ah Lord GOD! behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you:” (Jeremiah 32:17 AKJV)
Nothing is too hard for God. Put your life in His capable Hands.
Wednesday, December 7, 2011
“Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.” (Proverbs 25:19 AKJV)
Can people count on you? Do what you say you will do.
Thursday, December 8, 2011
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” (1 Timothy 2:5 AKJV)
If you want to connect to God you must come to Him through His Son Jesus.
Friday, December 9, 2011
“And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 AKJV)
If you want God to work in you, you must set your whole heart to seek and obey Him.
Saturday, December 10, 2011
“Am I a God at hand, said the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? said the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? said the LORD.” (Jeremiah 23:23-24 AKJV)
God is ever present. He knows all about us. He can comfort the troubled and He can trouble the comfortable.
Sunday, December 11, 2011
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;” (Titus 2:11-12 AKJV)
God’s people should live Godly lives. Do others see Jesus in us?
Monday, December 12, 2011
“They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.” (Titus 1:16 AKJV)
Saying is not the same as doing. Our actions must match our talk.
Tuesday, December 13, 2011
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 AKJV)
Just because some teacher or preacher is popular does not necessarily mean that they are speaking the truth. We need men of God who will tell us what we need to hear not what we want to hear.
Wednesday, December 14, 2011
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” (2 Timothy 4:7 AKJV)
Almost anybody can start with God. Will we finish strong with God is the question?
Thursday, December 15, 2011
“He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?” (Psalms 94:9 AKJV)
This is a sobering thought. Is God pleased with what He is hearing and seeing in us?
Friday, December 16, 2011
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 AKJV)
There is no other book like the Bible. It is the Word of God. You can depend on God and His Word.
Saturday, December 17, 2011
“Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2 Timothy 3:12 AKJV)
Christians should not be surprised at tough times in this world. If we truly live for Jesus there will be those who will not like it.
Sunday, December 18, 2011
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2 Timothy 3:5 AKJV)
Don’t just be religious people. Be a Godly people. Where is the power of God in His people today? We can have a life that is filled with victory as we walk in His strength.
Monday, December 19, 2011
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1 Timothy 6:10 AKJV)
The love of money is a dangerous trap. Love God and use money as He would have you use it.
Tuesday, December 20, 2011
“They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity.” (Ezekiel 7:19 AKJV)
Material wealth will not help on the Day of Judgment. We must have faith in God.
Wednesday, December 21, 2011
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12 AKJV)
There is power in the Word of God. Read it and let it speak to your heart.
Thursday, December 22, 2011
“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” (Hebrews 4:13 AKJV)

Friday, December 23, 2011
“But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” (Hebrews 3:13 AKJV)

Saturday, December 24, 2011

Monday, December 26, 2011
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that heard him;” (Hebrews 2:3 AKJV)
There is no escape to those who have heard the Gospel of Jesus and rejected it or ignored it. Where do you stand with Jesus?
Tuesday, December 27, 2011
“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;” (Psalms 107:2 AKJV)

Wednesday, December 28, 2011
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalms 107:20 AKJV)
There is power in the Word of God. Read it. Believe it. Obey it. You will see God at work in you.
Thursday, December 29, 2011
“And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin to salvation.” (Hebrews 9:27-28 AKJV)
You have an appointment with God and it will be here before you know it. Faith in Jesus will prepare you for that appointment.
Friday, December 30, 2011
“They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:” (Psalms 106:13 AKJV)
Don’t be guilty of forgetting what God has done for you. Keep your eyes on the Lord and seek His counsel.
Saturday, December 31, 2011
“Why he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25 AKJV)
God can forgive all sin if we come to Him in repentance and humility. Jesus paid the price for our sins at the cross.
