“And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 10:22 AKJV)
Following Jesus means that we may be hated. Don’t be surprised. The world crucified Jesus.
Monday, March 23, 2009
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28 AKJV)
These are the words of Jesus and He is talking about Himself. Fear God. He is the One who will determine your fate for eternity.
Tuesday, March 24, 2009
“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear you not therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31 AKJV)
You are valuable to God. You are made in His image. Fear not. Walk with God.
Wednesday, March 25, 2009
“Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32-33 AKJV)
Do people know that you love the Lord? If you truly are His disciple they will be able to see Jesus in you. Stand up and be counted for Jesus.
Thursday, March 26, 2009
“He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me.” (Matthew 10:37-38 AKJV)
Do we love Jesus like He said we should? When we truly experience Him we will. He died for us to save our souls from an eternal Hell.
Friday, March 27, 2009
“I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies.” (Psalms 18:3 AKJV)
God’s people are not alone. Call on the Lord. He will help you.
Saturday, March 28, 2009
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like to a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.” (Matthew 13:45-46 AKJV)
Finding the Lord and His will for our lives is priceless. It is wonderful to belong to the Lord.
Sunday, March 29, 2009
“You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for ever more.” (Psalms 16:11 AKJV)
We were made by God for God. Fulfillment comes when we obey Him. Are you looking for a full life? Let the Lord show you the way you should go.
Monday, March 30, 2009
“For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:40 AKJV)
Jesus believed in the account of Jonah in the belly of the whale. In fact, He used it to illustrate His future death and resurrection. Shouldn’t you believe all the Bible too? Think it over.
Tuesday, March 31, 2009
“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.” (Matthew 12:30 AKJV)
There is no neutral ground with Jesus. Where do you stand with Jesus?
Wednesday, April 1, 2009
“With the merciful you will show yourself merciful; with an upright man you will show yourself upright; With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the fraudulent you will show yourself devious.” (Psalms 18:25-26 AKJV)
God is still on His throne and He responds to everyone according to their actions and His holiness. Is He pleased with you?
Thursday, April 2, 2009
“And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:58 AKJV)
Have faith in God. He can do mighty things in your life too. If not, you will miss His mighty works in your life.
Friday, April 3, 2009
“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:49-50 AKJV)
Judgment is real. Jesus said so. Are you ready for eternity? Put your life in Jesus’ hands now before it is too late.
Saturday, April 4, 2009
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more to the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.” (Proverbs 4:18-19 AKJV)
We have a choice to make. Will we walk in the light with the Lord or will we choose to walk in sin and darkness? The right choice should be obvious.
Sunday, April 5, 2009
“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” (Psalms 19:7 AKJV)
God’s commands are for our own good. Obey the Lord and experience His wisdom.
Monday, April 6, 2009
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.” (Psalms 19:1 AKJV)
All of creation gives a loud witness that God is alive and on His throne. Praise the Lord!
Tuesday, April 7, 2009
“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” (Psalms 19:14 AKJV)
What a wonderful thought and wonderful prayer. Our world would be a much better place if we all heeded these wise words.
Wednesday, April 8, 2009
“Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” (Matthew 15:11 AKJV)
We need more infomercials about what comes out of our mouths. We have become a profane people.
Thursday, April 9, 2009
“This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” (Matthew 15:8 AKJV)
May the Lord help us to be real and heartfelt in our worship of Him. Words alone will not please the Lord.
Friday, April 10, 2009
“And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.” (Exodus 3:14 AKJV)
God is the great eternal God that never changes. You can count on His promises.
Saturday, April 11, 2009
“While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.” (Matthew 17:5 AKJV)
Jesus is God the Son and the only hope for sinful man. We need to listen to Jesus and obey Him.
Sunday, April 12, 2009
“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus said to him, I say not to you, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” (Matthew 18:21-22 AKJV)
Christians should forgive others because God has forgiven us. Think it over.
Monday, April 13, 2009
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the middle of them.” (Matthew 18:20 AKJV)
We should look forward to worshiping the Lord with others. We can encourage each other in our faith and express our love for the Lord. Be in church this Sunday.
Tuesday, April 14, 2009
“And Jesus called a little child to him, and set him in the middle of them, And said, Truly I say to you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:2-3 AKJV)
God can’t work in hearts that are filled with pride and self. We must humble ourselves before Him and then He will do a great work in us.
Wednesday, April 15, 2009
“Why if your hand or your foot offend you, cut them off, and cast them from you: it is better for you to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.” (Matthew 18:8 AKJV)
Hell is for real and must be avoided at all cost. Commit your life to Jesus now and ask for His forgiveness and cleansing. Jesus loves you.
Thursday, April 16, 2009
“But whoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6 AKJV)
We must lead our children to faith in Jesus. It is a sin not to do this. The consequences are eternal.
Friday, April 17, 2009
“Why they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matthew 19:6 AKJV)
Marriage is a sacred commitment made before God. We must take it seriously.
Saturday, April 18, 2009
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalms 23:1 AKJV)
When we have the Lord as our Lord we have all we need. God looks out for His own.
Sunday, April 19, 2009
“Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4 AKJV)
The Lord will help us through the most difficult of circumstances. Don’t worry. Give it to the Lord.
Monday, April 20, 2009
“Then said Jesus to his disciples, Truly I say to you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Matthew 19:23-24 AKJV)
Riches and self sufficiency can keep people from the Lord. We must humble ourselves and declare our total dependency on God.
Tuesday, April 21, 2009
“Then were there brought to him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come to me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:13-14 AKJV)
Don’t stand in the way of children coming to the Lord. Bring them to Jesus by your example.
Wednesday, April 22, 2009
“When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:25-26 AKJV)
Don’t discount what God can do. He is the great miracle worker. He can work in your life also.
Thursday, April 23, 2009
“If you love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15 AKJV)
How does a person really know that they love Jesus? That person obeys the Lord no matter what. Do you love Jesus?
Friday, April 24, 2009
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 AKJV)
God takes care of those that love Him. What a wonderful promise.
Saturday, April 25, 2009
“But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:” (Matthew 20:26-27 AKJV)
God’s definition for greatness is very different than what the world thinks. Be great in God’s eyes. Serve others in Jesus’ name.
