Sunday, December 3, 2006

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:31-32 AKJV)

What a wonderful thought. Let Jesus set you free to be the kind of person He created you to be.

 Monday, December 4, 2006

"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you." (Isaiah 49:15 AKJV)

You can depend on God. He loves you. Look to Him.

 Tuesday, December 5, 2006

"There is no peace, said the LORD, to the wicked." (Isaiah 48:22 AKJV)

Evil actions will rob us of peace. Think it over.

 Wednesday, December 6, 2006

"Thus said the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD your God which teaches you to profit, which leads you by the way that you should go." (Isaiah 48:17 AKJV)

Are you looking for a better way to live? Let the Lord lead you. He has a wonderful plan for you.

 Thursday, December 7, 2006

"Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband." (Ephesians 5:33 AKJV)

Here lie the keys to a successful marriage. Read it and meditate upon these responsibilities.

 Friday, December 8, 2006

"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;" (Ephesians 5:25 AKJV)

Husbands should love their wives with a sacrificial love. This is vital for a good and healthy marriage.

 Saturday, December 9, 2006

"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" (Ephesians 5:18-19 AKJV)

Christians are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is not a suggestion. Think it over.

Sunday, December 10, 2006

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14 AKJV)

Is God waiting for His people to humble themselves in confession and repentance? Is our country in desperate need of a touch from God? Think it over.

Monday, December 11, 2006

"See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." (Ephesians 5:15-16 AKJV)

Time is a gift from God. Use it wisely and walk in obedience to God.

Tuesday, December 12, 2006

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:5-6 AKJV)

Isaiah prophesied about Jesus' sacrificial death 700 years before it happened. God always keeps His Word.

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." (Ephesians 5:11 AKJV)

Not only are God's people to shun sin, but we are to expose sin and encourage all to turn away from sin.

Thursday, December 14, 2006

"I, even I, am he that comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;" (Isaiah 51:12 AKJV)

God will give you the courage and comfort to keep serving Him. God is still on Heaven's throne.

Friday, December 15, 2006

"Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished." (Isaiah 51:6 AKJV)

This puts time and eternity into true perspective. Have you received His salvation? Your time is running short.

Saturday, December 16, 2006

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah." (Psalms 68:19 AKJV)

Thank God for His daily blessings. You'll bless God, others and yourself.

Sunday, December 17, 2006

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right." (Ephesians 6:1 AKJV)

We must return to the Biblical values that make for loving homes and a stable civilization. Parents, love your children enough to discipline them.

Monday, December 18, 2006

"Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." (Ephesians 6:10-11 AKJV)

We are in a spiritual war. We must clothe ourselves in the truth of God's Word so that we can know the truth and the truth can set us free from the devil and his lies.

Tuesday, December 19, 2006

"Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called an house of prayer for all people." (Isaiah 56:7 AKJV)

God's people must pray. Prayer taps into the resources of God. We need a touch from God in our sinful world.

Wednesday, December 20, 2006

"Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you on him while he is near:" (Isaiah 55:6 AKJV)

When God speaks to you, count it a privilege. Don't take it for granted. He is speaking to you now for you to respond to Him now. Think it over.

Thursday, December 21, 2006

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, said the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9 AKJV)

We can't really understand life until we find the mind of God about life. Take time to read your Bible and pray. He knows what is best for all of us.

Friday, December 22, 2006

"So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11 AKJV)

God spoke the universe into existence and it will wind up when He says the word. This is God's world and we need not forget that.

Saturday, December 23, 2006

"Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfies not? listen diligently to me, and eat you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness." (Isaiah 55:2 AKJV)

God is the One who can satisfy the longing of your soul. Give your life to Him.

Sunday, December 24, 2006

"And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21 AKJV)

Jesus did come and He is still saving people from their sins. Have a great Christmas and give your life to Jesus.

Monday, December 25, 2006

"For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11 AKJV)

Jesus came to save us from Hell. He loves you. Receive Him into your life and receive the greatest gift you could ever have.

Tuesday, December 26, 2006

"For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another." (Psalms 75:6-7 AKJV)

God is the final bookkeeper. Put your life in His capable hands.

Wednesday, December 27, 2006

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 AKJV)

God created us and He knows our deepest needs. Look to Him. He will meet those needs.

Thursday, December 28, 2006

"I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 AKJV)

We are weak but God is strong. Trust God. Walk with God. When we do, we will see His power at work in us.

Friday, December 29, 2006

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 AKJV)

Life has problems. No one is exempt. The Lord can give us an amazing peace in the midst of the storms of life. Tell the Lord your need. He is bigger than any problem you face.

Saturday, December 30, 2006

"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8 AKJV)

Some of our problems come from wrong thinking. Follow the advice above and see life in a different light.

Sunday, December 31, 2006

"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice." (Philippians 4:4 AKJV)

When we get our joy from the Lord we receive a joy that cannot be taken away because He never changes.

Monday, January 1, 2007

"For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water." (Jeremiah 2:13 AKJV)

This is an apt description of sin. Forsaking God will lead to trusting other things that are nothing but emptiness. Think it over.

Tuesday, January 2, 2007

"So I gave them up to their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels." (Psalms 81:12 AKJV)

This is not good news. When God gives us up to our own stubborn will we are in trouble. We need to be open to His will. It's for our own good.

Wednesday, January 3, 2006

"For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that you should abstain from fornication:" (1 Thessalonians 4:3 AKJV)

God's people should live holy lives. We should be a witness to those around us. Can others tell that we belong to Jesus?

Thursday, January 4, 2006

"And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it." (Jeremiah 18:4 AKJV)

God can change our marred lives if we will allow Him. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 AKJV)

Friday, January 5, 2006

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9 AKJV)

We are basically evil. We are in need of God's forgiveness and cleansing. Have you taken care of your sin problem?

Saturday, January 6, 2006

"Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7-8 AKJV)

Walking with God has its benefits. Are you walking with God?
