Sunday, November 22, 2009

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” (Galatians 6:7-8 AKJV)

Think about this if you are inclined to sow your wild oats. There is a price to pay. Think it over.

Monday, November 23, 2009

“Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” (Proverbs 23:23 AKJV)

Truth is a precious commodity. You can find it in the Bible.

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long–suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23 AKJV)

This is what God wants to put in your heart right now. Renounce sin and surrender all to Jesus.

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

“Thus said the LORD, your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself;” (Isaiah 44:24 AKJV)

God made the heavens and the earth and He made you. Life makes sense when you know these truths.

Thursday, November 26, 2009

“I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember your sins.” (Isaiah 43:25 AKJV)

The Lord can take away the guilt of sin and give us a new beginning. Commit your life to Him today.

Friday, November 27, 2009

“For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 AKJV)

We can’t earn our way or work our way to Heaven. We must be rescued by the grace of God. Only He can forgive us and cleanse us from our sins.

Saturday, November 28, 2009

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 AKJV)

We don’t do good works to become a Christian but because we are a Christian. Are you living like a Christian?

Sunday, November 29, 2009

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.” (Ephesians 6:1-3 AKJV)

God gives directions on how children should respect their parents. Parents must take the time to teach their children respect. This is much needed.

Monday, November 30, 2009

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, said the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 AKJV)

Before you make that important decision, talk to the Lord. He knows what is best.

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

“Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you on him while he is near:” (Isaiah 55:6 AKJV)

When God speaks to our hearts, we need to pay attention. We may not have another chance.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

“Ho, every one that thirsts, come you to the waters, and he that has no money; come you, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfies not? listen diligently to me, and eat you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.” (Isaiah 55:1-2 AKJV)

Life is more than having money. Come to the Lord and He will give that which satisfies.

Thursday, December 3, 2009

“Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.” (Ephesians 5:33 AKJV)

Here is the key to any marriage. The husband is to love his wife and the wife is to respect her husband.

Friday, December 4, 2009

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6 AKJV)

Jesus bore our sins on the cross because He loves us. We must surrender our lives to Him if we are going to experience His forgiveness and salvation. Are you a Christian?

Saturday, December 5, 2009

“I, even I, am he that comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;” (Isaiah 51:12 AKJV)

God is our only hope for time and eternity. Put your faith in the One who is Lord of all.

Sunday, December 6, 2009

“Why God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11 AKJV)

This is going to happen. Are you ready to meet God? Will He be your Judge or Savior? Think it over.

Monday, December 7, 2009

“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the middle of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;” (Philippians 2:14-15 AKJV)

Can others see Jesus in you? The above verse gives a good example of how we should live.

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

“Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen on you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.” (Isaiah 60:1-2 AKJV)

It is time for the people of God to rise up in holiness and dispel the darkness.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21 AKJV)

God’s people should live for Jesus. This is normal and real Christianity.

Thursday, December 10, 2009

“There is no peace, said my God, to the wicked.” (Isaiah 57:21 AKJV)

This should surprise no one. Peace can only come when we are at peace with our Creator.

Friday, December 11, 2009

“For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works. Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.” (Psalms 78:32-33 AKJV)

When we forget the goodness and mercy of God we cheat ourselves of living life at its best. Think it over.

Saturday, December 12, 2009

“If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Colossians 3:1-2 AKJV)

Where is your affection? Ask God to take worldliness out of your heart.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Colossians 3:17 AKJV)

Our words and actions should point others to Jesus. He is what this world needs.

Monday, December 14, 2009

“Thus said the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, said the LORD.” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 AKJV)

We were created to give the glory to God. This will bring delight to God and us.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

“Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? no, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, said the LORD.” (Jeremiah 8:12 AKJV)

When we lose the capacity to feel and express shame, we are headed for destruction. Think it over.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

“For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” (Jeremiah 8:11 AKJV)

Speaking something does not necessarily make it so. Don’t deceive yourself with words. Actions show what we really believe.

Thursday, December 17, 2009

“Behold, you trust in lying words, that cannot profit.” (Jeremiah 7:8 AKJV)

To whom and what have you been listening? It does make a difference. Listen to God and obey His Word.

Friday, December 18, 2009

“Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come to you; for you are the LORD our God.” (Jeremiah 3:22 AKJV)

God wants you to come back to Him. Do it now. You will be glad you did.

Saturday, December 19, 2009

“For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another.” (Psalms 75:6-7 AKJV)

Put your trust in the Lord. He is still in charge.

Sunday, December 20, 2009

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 AKJV)

It is wonderful to know the Lord. He takes care of His own.

Monday, December 21, 2009

“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13 AKJV)

When the Lord directs us to do something, He will give us the strength to do it.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4 AKJV)

When we get our joy from Jesus we will never be disappointed because He never changes.

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 AKJV)

Here is the recipe for finding peace of mind. Take time to pray and tell the Lord all about it.

Thursday, December 24, 2009

“Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8 AKJV)

Start thinking right and things will get better.

Friday, December 25, 2009

“And the angel said to them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11 AKJV)

Have a blessed Christmas. Worship the Christ. He is worthy to be worshipped.

Saturday, December 26, 2009

“Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:4-5 AKJV)

Every life is a gift from God. He made us all.
