Sunday, July 5, 2009
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 AKJV)

Jesus can give you a new life. Repent of your sins and ask Jesus to forgive and cleanse you. You can be made new today.

Monday, July 6, 2009
“Woe to you, lawyers! for you have taken away the key of knowledge: you entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in you hindered.” (Luke 11:52 AKJV)

Teachers have such an awesome responsibility. These religious leaders of Jesus’ day kept others from coming to Jesus. What a tragedy. Don’t block the way of others coming to Jesus.

Tuesday, July 7, 2009
“They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; And forgot his works, and his wonders that he had showed them.” (Psalms 78:10-11 AKJV)

Disobedience to God has terrible consequences. We forget how good God has been to us. Are you ungrateful to God? Maybe you have been living a life in rebellion against God.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009
“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed on the housetops.” (Luke 12:2-3 AKJV)

We can’t fool God. He knows all. Think it over. Are you ready to face God?

Thursday, July 9, 2009
“And I say to you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear him, which after he has killed has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear him.” (Luke 12:4-5 AKJV)

Who is this One we are to fear? It is none other than God Himself.

Friday, July 10, 2009
“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7 AKJV)

You are important to God. He gave His Son Jesus to die on the cross for all of our sins.

Saturday, July 11, 2009
“But woe to you, Pharisees! for you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought you to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” (Luke 11:42 AKJV)

Religious activity is no substitute for holy living. Honor the Lord by giving and loving.

Sunday, July 12, 2009
“I tell you, No: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:5 AKJV)

Biblical repentance means that we turn away from sin and turn toward Jesus. We love Jesus and hate sin. Are you a Christian? Does your life show it?

Monday, July 13, 2009
“Suppose you that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, No; but rather division:” (Luke 12:51 AKJV)

These words of Jesus remind us that following Him means we will face opposition in an ungodly world. Holiness in a world of sin will bring the world against God’s people.

Tuesday, July 14, 2009
“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.” (Deuteronomy 32:39 AKJV)

Don’t take the Lord lightly. This is His world and we are His creation. We will all stand before Him one day.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009
“For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works. Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.” (Psalms 78:32-33 AKJV)

Neglecting God and His blessings is bad business. Be grateful and serve the Lord. When you do, you will experience life at its best.

Thursday, July 16, 2009
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Luke 12:34 AKJV)

Your checkbook will tell you where your heart really is. What is your checkbook saying? Think it over.

Friday, July 17, 2009
“And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said to him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?” (Luke 12:19-20 AKJV)

Life is short and fragile. Think about eternity. It will be here before you know it.

Saturday, July 18, 2009
“Also I say to you, Whoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.” (Luke 12:8-9 AKJV)

Do other people know that you are a follower of Jesus? They should. Read the verses above again.

Sunday, July 19, 2009
“Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.” (Deuteronomy 32:7 AKJV)

We need to learn from Godly men and women who have experienced God in their lifetimes. They have words of wisdom that the world cannot give.

Monday, July 20, 2009
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God, he it is that does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 AKJV)

Faith in the Lord brings peace and confidence. Put your trust in the Lord and you will be glad you did.

Tuesday, July 21, 2009
“No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” (Luke 16:13 AKJV)

You have to choose. Will you serve the Lord or will you serve money? Your checkbook will tell the tale.

Wednesday, July 22, 2009
“I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt: open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” (Psalms 81:10 AKJV)

God will take care of His own. Look to the Lord in faith and obey Him.

Thursday, July 23, 2009
“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.” (Luke 15:10 AKJV)

Repentance is close to the heart of God. God can heal a repentant heart. Confess your sins and let the Lord give you a new beginning.

Friday, July 24, 2009
“For whoever exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.” (Luke 14:11 AKJV)

God honors humility and despises pride. Humble yourself before the Lord and He will make you a blessing to Him and others.

Saturday, July 25, 2009
“Then said one to him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said to them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” (Luke 13:23-24 AKJV)

The way to Heaven is narrow. Jesus is the only way to get there. Do you love Jesus and have you committed your life to Him?

Sunday, July 26, 2009
“He that spares his rod hates his son: but he that loves him chastens him betimes.” (Proverbs 13:24 AKJV)

We may not need the good old days, but we sure need the good old ways.

Monday, July 27, 2009
“He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” (Psalms 91:1-2 AKJV)

There is no more secure place than to be in God’s care. Surrender your life to Him and find real security.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009
“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.” (Psalms 90:12 AKJV)

As my dad used to say, you will never relive today, make it a good one with God’s help.

Wednesday, July 29, 2009
“And if it seem evil to you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15 AKJV)

If it is not evil to serve the Lord then the opposite is true. It is evil not to serve the Lord. Think it over.

Thursday, July 30, 2009
“He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” (Proverbs 13:20 AKJV)

Who are your friends? They say a lot about who you are.

Friday, July 31, 2009
“Whoever despises the word shall be destroyed: but he that fears the commandment shall be rewarded.” (Proverbs 13:13 AKJV)

We can not take the Word of God lightly. It stands to bless or condemn us. Think it over.

Saturday, August 1, 2009
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10 AKJV)

Jesus can help those who realize their need. Is that you? Call out to Him and ask Him to save you.

Sunday, August 2, 2009
“Will you not revive us again: that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your mercy, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.” (Psalms 85:6-7 AKJV)

This prayer needs to be prayed in churches all across the land. We need God to help us.

Monday, August 3, 2009
“And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.” (Luke 18:13-14 AKJV)

Humility will catch the heart of God. Pride will keep us far from God.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009
“But Jesus called them to him, and said, Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Luke 18:16 AKJV)

How many adults are keeping their children away from God? This is one of the great tragedies of our day.

Wednesday, August 5, 2009
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” (Psalms 84:11 AKJV)

God takes care of His own. Do you belong to Him?

Thursday, August 6, 2009
“And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said to him, Arise, go your way: your faith has made you whole.” (Luke 17:17-19 AKJV)

The most fulfilled people are grateful people. Gratitude makes us whole.

Friday, August 7, 2009
“Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.”  (Proverbs 17:1 AKJV)

Things do not make a home.  Love and kindness make a house a home.

Saturday, August 8, 2009
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 AKJV)

God does love you. He gave His Son to die on the cross for your sins. Love Him back. Obey and serve Him.
