Sunday, May 31, 2009

“There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.” (Mark 7:15-16 AKJV)

Words are important. What words are coming out of your mouth? Your words show what is really in your heart. Think it over.

Monday, June 1, 2009

“LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Behold, you have made my days as an handbreadth; and my age is as nothing before you: truly every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.” (Psalms 39:4-5 AKJV)

Life is short and fragile. Make the most of the time you have. It will soon be gone.

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

“As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after you, O God.” (Psalms 42:1 AKJV)

A desire for God is a good thing. He can help you. Seek Him with all your heart.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37 AKJV)

Jesus asks two great questions. Have you sold your soul to the devil? Repent and give your life to Jesus. He is the One who can give you abundant life and eternal life.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

“You shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.” (Leviticus 19:30 AKJV)

Our land would be a better place if everyone set aside the Lord’s day to honor and worship our Creator and Savior. Be in church this Sunday.

Friday, June 5, 2009

“You shall rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and fear your God: I am the LORD.” (Leviticus 19:32 AKJV)

Respect the elderly. God say so.

Saturday, June 6, 2009

“And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. And you shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather every grape of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.” (Leviticus 19:9-10 AKJV)

Our budgets should include help for the needy. Don’t spend it all on yourself. Give to others.

Sunday, June 7, 2009

“The fear of the wicked, it shall come on him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. As the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.” (Proverbs 10:24-25 AKJV)

It’s better and smarter to be godly than to be ungodly. Walk with God and be blessed.

Monday, June 8, 2009

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10 AKJV)

Look around you. God is in control. Place your life in His Hands.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

“And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25-26 AKJV)

Forgiveness is an important part of the Christian life. Jesus forgave us so we should forgive others.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

“And Jesus answering said to them, Have faith in God.” (Mark 11:22 AKJV)

Our faith must be placed in the right person. Have faith in God. He is the One who can make a mighty difference in all of us.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

“And Jesus looked round about, and said to his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!” (Mark 10:23 AKJV)

Why is this true? Riches make us feel self sufficient. They give us a false sense of security. Riches will not make us fulfilled and will not help us on the Day of Judgment. Think it over.

Friday, June 12, 2009

“But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said to them, Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Truly I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them.” (Mark 10:14-16 AKJV)

Are you bringing your children to Jesus? If not, you are robbing them of the greatest blessing of life.

Saturday, June 13, 2009

“We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work you did in their days, in the times of old.” (Psalms 44:1 AKJV)

Dad, have you told your children about the Lord working in your life? They want to know and need to know. Tell them today.

Sunday, June 14, 2009

“For he that is not against us is on our part.” (Mark 9:40 AKJV)

These words of Jesus remind us that there is no middle ground with Him. Are you with Him or against Him?

Monday, June 15, 2009

“But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and join to his wife; And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Mark 10:6-9 AKJV)

Marriage is God’s idea. We need to get back to its original purpose and design.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

“And if your hand offend you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:” (Mark 9:43 AKJV)

Jesus reminds us that Hell is real and terrible. Avoid it at all cost.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31 AKJV)

Do we truly love the Lord? If so, we will obey Him.

Thursday, June 18, 2009

“Watch you and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.” (Mark 14:38 AKJV)

You can’t cruise in your spiritual life. Be on your toes and be on your knees.

Friday, June 19, 2009

“Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” (Psalms 51:5 AKJV)

Sin is our problem and the Lord is our only solution. Repent of sin and turn your life over to Jesus.

Saturday, June 20, 2009

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalms 51:10 AKJV)

Pray a prayer like this and watch the Lord clean up your life. He can do it.

Sunday, June 21, 2009

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation; and uphold me with your free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors your ways; and sinners shall be converted to you.” (Psalms 51:12-13 AKJV)

Have you lost your joy? Pray and ask the Lord to give it back to you and then share the good news with those around you.

Monday, June 22, 2009

“These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such an one as yourself: but I will reprove you, and set them in order before your eyes.” (Psalms 50:21 AKJV)

God is not like us. He is holy. He will not tolerate sin. He must judge sin.

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

“And call on me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” (Psalms 50:15 AKJV)

Are you in trouble? Call out to the Lord. He can help you. When He does help you be sure to give Him the glory and the thanks.

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

“Be not you afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; For when he dies he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.” (Psalms 49:16-17 AKJV)

Riches do not make a man. Godliness is what really makes a man a man.

Thursday, June 25, 2009

“And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.” (Mark 13:13 AKJV)

Real Christians will face persecution. Real Christians will stay faithful to God no matter what may come.

Friday, June 26, 2009

“Your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” (Psalms 119:11 AKJV)

The key to victory over sin is to know God’s Word and apply God’s Word. Memorize the promises and principles of God and you will be ready to face the temptations of life.

Saturday, June 27, 2009

“Cast your burden on the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” (Psalms 55:22 AKJV)

Don’t carry that burden any longer. Give it to the Lord. He can and will help you.

Sunday, June 28, 2009

“There is that scatters, and yet increases; and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tends to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that waters shall be watered also himself.” (Proverbs 11:24-25 AKJV)

Giving is a marvelous grace. You can’t out give the Lord. Be a giver and experience the blessing of God.

Monday, June 29, 2009

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:” (Psalms 66:18 AKJV)

Sin can block our prayer life. Confess and repent of sin and God will hear your prayers.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

“And Jesus answering said to them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:31-32 AKJV)

God can help us if we realize our need and His power to meet our need. Are you there? If so, come to Jesus now.

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

“And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.” (Deuteronomy 6:5 AKJV)

You can know about the Lord and not love the Lord. Do you truly love the Lord? Real Christians love Jesus and show it by their actions.

Thursday, July 2, 2009

“And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart: And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7 AKJV)

Children need Godly parents who teach and practice faith in Jesus. Will you be a Godly parent?

Friday, July 3, 2009

“Neither shall you desire your neighbor’s wife, neither shall you covet your neighbor’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is your neighbor’s.” (Deuteronomy 5:21 AKJV)

Coveting is at the root of many a sin. Guard your heart and be content with what God has given you.

Saturday, July 4, 2009

“He that trusts in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.” (Proverbs 11:28 AKJV)

Riches will not last. Righteousness will. Put your faith in Jesus and you will be ready for eternity.
