November 2 - December 6, 2008
Sunday, November 2, 2008“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalms 46:1 AKJV)
Take a deep breath and remember you are in God’s Hands. He loves His people. It is wonderful to be a Christian.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10 AKJV)
Slow down. The world does not revolve around you. God is on the throne. Honor Him.

Thursday, November 6, 2008
“For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 AKJV)
Jesus took our sin upon Himself so we could be made right with God. People who come to Jesus will live lives that bring honor to Jesus. Does your life bring honor to the Lord?

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18 AKJV)
Your soul is eternal and your body is not. Are you taking care of your soul? Give your life to Jesus and you will be ready for eternity.
Saturday, November 8, 2008
“And such trust have we through Christ to God–ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;” (2 Corinthians 3:4-5 AKJV)
Nothing is too hard for God. He is our sufficiency. Put your whole faith in God.
Sunday, November 9, 2008
“Be not you afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; For when he dies he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.” (Psalms 49:16-17 AKJV)
You can’t take it with you. Faith in the Lord is eternal and you can take that with you. Think it over.
Monday, November 10, 2008
“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8 AKJV)
Anybody can start something. God is looking for those who will finish the race. Don’t be a quitter.
Tuesday, November 11, 2008
“It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.” (Ecclesiastes 7:2 AKJV)
Everyone needs to go to funerals. It reminds us that life is fragile and we need to make the most of it now. We may not have tomorrow. Life is a gift. Don’t take it lightly. Eternity is just around the corner.
Wednesday, November 12, 2008
“And one cried to another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” (Isaiah 6:3 AKJV)
God is always holy. His standards do not change. God calls His people to be holy.
Thursday, November 13, 2008
“The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that does good.” (Psalms 53:1 AKJV)
People don’t want to believe in God because if they do they will have to change the way they live. This is not an intellectual problem, it is a moral problem.
Friday, November 14, 2008
“Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20 AKJV)
Trouble comes to those who try to pervert the truth. This is God’s world and He is in charge.
Saturday, November 15, 2008
“Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart on them.” (Psalms 62:10 AKJV)
Money can come and go. Don’t set your heart on things. Set your heart on the Lord and others.
Sunday, November 16, 2008
“God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs to God.” (Psalms 62:11 AKJV)
Don’t limit the Lord. He is able. Give your situation to Him.
Monday, November 17, 2008
“Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16 AKJV)
We may not want to hear the truth but we need to hear it. Be grateful for those who will speak the truth to you even when you don’t appreciate it.
Tuesday, November 18, 2008
“That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits:” (Isaiah 30:9-10 AKJV)
Do you want to hear the truth? Don’t be like the people above. Love the truth and obey the truth.
Wednesday, November 19, 2008
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3 AKJV)
The end of your search for peace has come. Focus your thoughts on the Lord and trust Him for everything you face.

“Withhold not correction from the child: for if you beat him with the rod, he shall not die. You shall beat him with the rod, and shall deliver his soul from hell.” (Proverbs 23:13-14 AKJV)
A spanking in the rear end administered by a loving parent is good medicine for a child. It will save them a lot of heartache in the future.
Friday, November 21, 2008
“Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” (Proverbs 24:15-16 AKJV)
God looks out for His own. He will repay the wicked. Think it over.
Saturday, November 22, 2008
“The day is yours, the night also is yours: you have prepared the light and the sun. You have set all the borders of the earth: you have made summer and winter.” (Psalms 74:16-17 AKJV)
How can you forget about God? He is in control of this universe and He holds your life in His hands.
Sunday, November 23, 2008
“I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before my eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.” (Isaiah 66:4 AKJV)
When we forget God we can expect our fears to come to reality. It’s not smart to forget the Lord.
Monday, November 24, 2008
“Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.” (Psalms 73:17 AKJV)
We receive great understanding when we come into the presence of the Lord. When was the last time you spent time with the Lord?
Tuesday, November 25, 2008
“Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none on earth that I desire beside you. My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” (Psalms 73:25-26 AKJV)
God can give you the strength that you need. Depend on Him and obey Him. He can meet your need.
Wednesday, November 26, 2008
“But now, O LORD, you are our father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8 AKJV)
Isn’t it wonderful to know that you are not an accident of random choice? God made you and He has a plan for your life. Seek Him and find out what He wants to do in you.
Thursday, November 27, 2008
“Why God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11 AKJV)
This is the way it is. Jesus is Lord and one day all will know it. Will He be your Savior or Judge on that day?
Friday, November 28, 2008
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21 AKJV)
This in essence is the Christian life. Are you a Christian?
Saturday, November 29, 2008
“And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yes, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.” (Isaiah 59:14-15 AKJV)
Society is doomed when truth is fallen in the street. We must love and embrace the truth. We must return to the Lord and the Bible.
Sunday, November 30, 2008
“Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.” (Ephesians 5:33 AKJV)
These are two vital keys to a healthy marriage. How are you doing?
Monday, December 1, 2008
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:5-6 AKJV)
This is how much Jesus loves you. Isaiah prophesied this event 700 years before it happened.
Tuesday, December 2, 2008
“I, even I, am he that comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;” (Isaiah 51:12 AKJV)
When you are in God’s hands you are in good hands. He will take care of you.
Wednesday, December 3, 2008
“And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32 AKJV)
How much does it cost to be kind? What are the blessings of being kind? Think it over.
Thursday, December 4, 2008
“There is no peace, said the LORD, to the wicked.” (Isaiah 48:22 AKJV)
Evil exacts a terrible price. Do you want peace? Walk with God.
Friday, December 5, 2008
“For thus said the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he has established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.” (Isaiah 45:18 AKJV)
Now you know how it is. God is still God and He is the One and Only. Worship Him and serve Him. You were made by God for God.
Saturday, December 6, 2008
“For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 AKJV)
You can’t work your way to Heaven. Jesus is the key. You must surrender your will to His will. He will give you the grace you need to enter Heaven’s gates.
